Archive's History
The paper archive of the Historical Parri Emilia-Romagna has come formed in the late sixties documentary around a nucleus, mainly of copying machines, created for research purposes. This season is documented by the first guide to the archives of the Resistance of 1974.
In the second half of the seventies, in particular the large payment in 1979, it acquired funds is preserved that produced by 'ANPI provincial and regional levels. Among these archives PNA Bologna (1932-1974; bb. 229), the only military command Emilia-Romagna (1943-1946; bb. 9), CLN regional Emilia Romagna (1943-1946; bb. 40) of some municipal Cln (1945-1946; bb. 17), the Commission recognized regional qualifying partisans (1924-1952; bb. 31), the National Committee pro victims policies Emilia-Romagna (1945-1951; bb. 10, adapters 1338). Another group of funds, some of which are attributable to the same payment ANPI of 1979, includes: the Democratic Solidarity Committee of Bologna (1949-1966; bb.69), the Democratic Solidarity Committee of Modena (1945-1970; bb. 82) and the archives of lawyers Leonidas Casali (1949-1958; bb. 143) and Enzo Gatti (1945-1957; bb. 12).
During the eighties, nineties and later was found to be discontinuous flow of funds. Traditional funds photocopy created during research, were added deposits and donations. In particular they have been deposited in the archives of Sepral Bologna and provincial Food Inspectorate (1943-1970; bb. 1014 ca.) Documentaries and several sets of individuals among which indicates the archive lawyer Eugene Jacchia (who lived between 1869 and 1939; bb. 230).
A brief identification of the funds was published in the Guide to the archives of the Resistance, by the Commission archives-library dell'Insmli, Roma, Palombi, 1983. During 2005, the collections have been enhanced with the acquisition of two large funds, the archive Marco Cuts and part of the Archives of the Judiciary Democratic. Furthermore, under a formal agreement, have become part of the papers of the Institute funds collected by the Home Movies Movies - National Archives of the film family.
The funds were collected audio-visual film in cinefototeca established in 1972 with a core group of materials donated by the Light and with the collection of photographs and sound sources hitherto kept in paper form.
Since 2006, following a general reorganization, the funds collected in cinefototeca have returned to the original location, the Archive Institute which keeps records of every kind. Moreover, it has initiated a phase of reorganization and inventory of the funds.
Among the photographic archives can be reported that the Italian anti-Fascist fighters volunteers in Spain (1,143 photographs, the rights belong to the Institute Parra), the fund IWM / Imperial War Museum in London, with pictures of Emilia-Romagna, the eastern sector during the Italian campaign of the 2 nd World War (400 photos ca.; rights belong all'Iwm), the bottom of the Signal Corps Office National Archives in Washington, which collects images of the province of Bologna during the Second World War and the liberation of the city (450 photos ca., rights are public), the fund Arbizzani, about 500 pictures, covering the period 1943-1945 in the province of Bologna (Parri rights belong to the Institute, during the reorganization), the Fund ANPI (3,000 photos approx. partisans Emilia-Romagna, in the process of reorganization, the rights belong to the PNA).
Since 2005, the Institute Parri moved to new premises with suitable premises in the conservation of documents that have air conditioning to control temperature and humidity. Simultaneously, the Library and Archives have unified their management to coordinate the service from the point of view of usability is that of document processing.
