The Archive is closed on national holidays (January 1st and 6th, Easter Mondays, May 1st, June 2nd, August 15th, November 1st, December 8th, 25th and 26th) and on the holiday of Bologna’s patron saint, San Petronio (October 4th).

Areas of interest
The Parri Institute Bologna holds a comprehensive range of primary sources and historical works on Italian contemporary history, particularly the Second World War, Italian fascism, antifascism, the Resistance, the postwar period and the reconstruction of Italy.
Access
Admission to the archive is free.
Researchers or scholars who wish to consult the archive materials must make an appointment with the archivist by email or telephone.
To access the archive and consult documents, each visitor must sign the entry register and complete a form providing your personal details and describe the purpose of your research. Please note that in accordance with privacy legislation, personal data is used for statistical purposes and service only.
Visitors to the archive must leave all bags and books in the cloakroom. You are not allowed to bring other books into the archive without permission.
Visitors must return archive materials to the Archive personnel when you have finished.
Please note that you are not allowed to use mobile phones, eat, drink or smoke in the reading rooms. The institute has an area where you can eat and there is a hot drinks machine and smoking terrace. Visitors who do not follow the archive rules, or who are not considerate of other archive users, can be banned from the Reading Rooms.
People with mobility problems can access the library from number 16/A. Please phone in advance and arrange for assistance.
